Selective laser sintering (SLS) material: iglidur® I6-PL
The material iglidur I6  was specifically  developed for laser sintering for use as a gear. The tests in the igus® test laboratory resulted in a longer service life than for conventional ones - e.g. POM milled finished gears. This greatly increases the flexibility in the design of gears, since no tools are necessary due to the laser sintering process and gears can be produced efficiently with no minimum order quantity.    Furthermore,  iglidur I6  is very well suited for  snap connections due to the higher elongation at break.
