LCA Engineer

Role Overview:

This position is the primary technical resource for the sales force and are responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. This role also provide technical support and expertise to customers, testing application, responding to customer feedback, generation of new products based on customer's requirements.

• Cooperate closely with BRG product Managers (based in Indonesia) to define actions to extend igus® produduct development in the defined region.
• Presale technical and communication support for special appliactions.
• Primary contact for technical, engineering, design and quality issues.
• Validates pre-sales analysis of funtionality of product when required.
• Test alternative techniques and methods; recommends changes in procedures or equipment as necessary.
• Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistently with the company mission, values and financial objectives.
• Responsible for the maintenance and up-keep of igus equipment/machines.
• Work closely and collaboratively with other sale personnnel and colleague from other departements such as customer service, inside sales and product managers as appropriate to resolve technical issues that arise during order life cyscle and to ensure successful delivery of solutions to customers.
• As this position develops, the employee maybe assigned additional duties or special projects as deemed necessary by the management.

Dimension:

• This role will be a part of the rapidly growing igus® team and is responsible in providing support to BRG group in all technical aspect for mechanical design and support of igus products.
• It is responsible for providing technical support and ensure project quality and accuracy from conception to completion.

Requirements: 

The successful candidate will be expected to possess and display the following skills, knowledge and attributes in order to excel in the role: 

• Engineering, ite degree or similar engineering back ground
• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in automation design
• Established and strong network in the engineering field, machine building or similar industry is of advantage
• Basic knowledge of programming has an advantage
• Knowledge in technical drawings and capable of creating 2D and 3D drawing.
• Demonstrated ability to generate technical reports.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail especially in technical drawings
• Effective communication skills with the ability to listen, understand, educate, and influence customers/potential customers regarding products.
• Creative problem solver who thrives when presented with a challenge.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
• Able to work under pressure in a flexible and fast changing environment.
• Able to work independently and focused with the objective to position igus® as the key brand in Singapore.
